Senator to Apple, Google: why are DUI checkpoint apps still available?
Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) took his allotted five minutes during Thursday’s US Senate hearing on mobile privacy to lambaste Apple and Google for not removing DUI checkpoint apps from their respective stores. Apple Calls iPad Launch a Runaway Success
Apple is calling the launch of its iPad tablet computer a runaway success today, saying it sold more than 500,000 of the devices in its first week on the US market. Apple said demand for the iPad is far higher than it predicted, and will likely continue to exceed supply, so it has decided to delay the international launch by a month, until the end of May.
