I foolishly thought that I would answer the question “What is a Christian” when I started then, realized, the entire New testament is devoted to answering that question! Men and Women have spent their entire lives exploring the answer to “What Is A Christian?” Even if I answered well, this is not what you really need to know.
What you really want to know is, am I a Christian and if not how do I become one?

That my friend is rather profound but like all things truly profound, very simple. this is one of the best explanations I have found, it’s called, The Four Spiritual Laws.

If you do these simple things then you will know in your heart whether or not you are a Christian.

It is recorded in The Book of Acts 2:38 that the Apostle Peter  told the people in Jerusalem Repent and be Baptized. Many  people know what Baptism is but few have experienced real repentance. Not just a simple sorry God. A true profound heart change brought about by yielding to God’s Spirit. Once having done that all the rest follows as a matter of course.

Romans 10:9 and 10 reads:  If you confess (say) with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and believe in your heart God has raised him from the dead. You will be saved. For with the heart a man (or woman) believes unto righteousness (Right Standing With God) and with the mouth confession (saying and acknowledging) is made that leads to Salvation.

2Corinthians 5:17 tells us “If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation (a new species of being that never existed before!) Romans 8:1 tells us that anyone “in Christ has no condemnation” that is to say, no guilt.

So how do we get from where we are to being “In Christ”? 1 Corinthians 12:13 tells us “we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body. Galatians 3:26-29 tells about being baptized into Christ. It further explains that now we are the sons of God and goes on to explain that there is no Jew nor Greek that is no racial barriers, there is no Male nor Female, that is no gender barriers, we are all equally heirs of God!
